The Book of Esther and the holiday of Purim

This quilt reflects the story and descriptions of the royal Persian court under King Ahashverosh with its ostentation, drinking parties, harems, and banquets. For the holiday it adds hamentashen, costumes, charity coins, the Megillah, and the quilt itself is masquerading as a Persian rug.
